I have a date!

It is shocking how quick everything happened from finding out this clinic in Ottawa existed to getting a consultation to getting a surgery date.

I am excited, I am quite free of nerves around the surgery itself, and I’m talking about ways to get myself ready for this in therapy.

I’ll have plenty of time to share more in the weeks ahead but today I just wanted to share that there’s a date and that I appreciate everyone who has followed this journey in a positive, willing to learn and celebrate way.

You have created a space that people are not creating very often these days. Trans people are shrinking communities to stay safe because so many expanded spaces are feeling exceptionally dangerous. Talking about something that allows me to step even further into transition has been good for me, but it’s good for me because it is received so lovingly and with care.

Keep doing this for everyone in your life at all times. When you think there is a trans person in your presence and especially when you don’t. Create these spaces at all times for all trans people.
